Night Sky

You are the moon and I am the stars.

So close, yet so very far.

They seem to have met a million times.

yet somehow, it's still not mine.

the moon and the stars still haven't met.

It's a chance, I still hope to get.

The familiarity of your light, made my days so very bright.

The moon would always disappear,

but within days your light was always near.

One day my moon left once more.

For days, then weeks, then months, and more.

The light in my life has gone away,

but there is still hope.

I will see it again.

Someday.

You are the moon and I am the night,

so very dark without your light.
