I tried finding my reflection in the window
But the night swallowed it up
There was so much nothing that I hoped to live
Before the night changed its mind

Soon after, I walked outside
I turned my head up to the sky
I tried to count my stars, but the moon got in the way
So many stars. One for you, and two for me.

My face? It belonged to the night
The moon? It controlled it all.
But the stars?
They were always mine.
