Before I step onto the floor,
My legs being to shake.
I hear the people roar,
My stomach starts to ache.

The music starts to play,
I felt the need to move.
I had something to say,
But even more something to prove.

Competitors are watching alongside,
Judging every move I make.
As they watch me glide,
Hoping I trip and fall for their sake.

Thinking of all the people that doubted me,
They have all come to see,
The dance that sets me free,
From all that I am forced to be.

This is my time to show,
So hate if you feel.
But in case you did not know,
I am kind of a big deal.
