My True Vocation

Engineer, mathematician

Computer programmer, statistician

A job that makes money

I can't put my knowledge to waste

I wanted to be a teacher

But for my intelligence that's not enough pay

That's what everyone said and I believed it myself

But after some time I learned to ignore the comments from everyone else

I came to my senses and now I know

Teaching is my calling, even with a salary so low

So I might not be rich and make $100 grand a year

But I'll be following my dream in this new direction I steer

I love teaching, it has become my passion

I know I will be making a difference in this field

I've patched up the broken ideas of my future

I've figured it out so now they are healed
