My Thigh

You know what she said?

“Maybe he likes you,”

As if I should be happy

As if I should feel flattered

As if I am being dramatic

As if I am acting unreasonably

Maybe she’s right

I don’t know why I wasn’t jumping for joy when he leaned against me

I don’t know why I wasn’t feeling complimented when he had his hand on my thigh

I’m sorry that pushing his hand away makes me dramatic

I’m sorry that speaking up makes me unreasonable

Me
My family
