To My Precious Treasure's Pedestal

Dear darned pedestal,

Luck is on your side, you know?

You get to hold her hand

while I can just smell her old scarf.

You get to hear her warm whispers

while I mourn looking at her eyes.

You get to feel her hair

while I play poker with my lonely despair.

But it is enough.

I have decided to let go,

even if it means loving only a lonely wolf.

And I will survive,

even if it means adopting a death-like vibe.

I know it will be hard,

But is freedom not worth a thousand lives?

I will, however, ask of you a favor

before my leave for the ulterior.

Take care of her,

like you have since I can remember.

Keep her high,

for she deserves more than the sky.

And, more than anything, treat her like a delicate dove,

as she deserves way more than all your love.

Farewell, dear darned pedestal,

it was my pleasure living under your umbrage.

Forever yours,

The lonely guy with an almost broken heart
