I took this poem into a café today
It was crumbled from sitting on a bus
Wet from falling in a puddle
Smeared from sweating.
I walked into the café and people listened to my words
But no one heard what I had to say.

I took this poem to my bestfriend today.
It was smashed from my fist
Ripped from my nails
Torn from my book
They looked at me and told me to leave.

I read this poem to God today
It was worn from a hard life
Red from blood stains
Soaked from tears
He asked me why I took my life to read this to him.
I told him he was the only one who tried to understand.
