My Path

Society is dumb

Got boys and girls feeling numb

I just know I’m not one

I chose to look towards the sun

Find positivity in everything that comes

I breathe it in and out of my lungs

While everyone around me acts like I’m speaking in Tongues

Little do they know: I’m perfectly fine being alone

This fire in my eyes tells me my future is near

This passion in my heart I hold very dear

I never shake

I never stumble

My mind remains humble

I know who I am

I embraced God’s greater plan

I know where I’m going

I don’t know where you’ll be

It’s up to you

To stand up to the negativity in society
