My Page

Somewhere in the back

Of a dusty old book

Lies a page where my life

You can see with one look.

It lacks flair and flash

But is driven by passion

For science and service

And a heart of compassion

One subject to sadness

And exposed to grief

But an eye to the future

And an unwavoring belief

That deep in the heart

Of every man, woman, and child

Lies a resonant goodness

And zeal for the wild

My page is a page

Of optimism and grit

In the heart of young man

That will never quit

Me
