My Mom

A Mother may not always take action,

but shows a relentless compassion.

Her nature is protective of her womb

and no woman dare cross her groom.

Endowed by one greater to nurture life,

and be not only a mother but also a wife.

Her spirit a blessing to more than the home

her favor is with her wherever she roams.

There is no cover to hide such wonder

Of whom I can envision no greater mother.
