My Mission Statement

Fire engines race to scenes I can only imagine

While I wait and hope someday to be among the battalion

Maybe I'll be hauling hose into a flaming house

Or telling a woeful husband we're doing all we can for his spouse

You will find me working at my hardest through adversity and strife

All because I need to know I have saved someone's life

Even if it's in the form of holding a shaking hand

There'll be no question I've done everything I can

Firefighter--that is what I am going to be

Responding to any and every single emergency

In the future if you ever need a hand

Give me a call, since as you know, that's always been my plan
