i have visited again 

the place where i grew up

i can taste the meals she makes

and feel the love she gives us all

the scent of freshly blossomed blooms

fills the air around me.

i hear her dog barking and

my cousin telling stories

and see myself grow through

photographs and lines on the door frame.

i am at my grandmother's house

amd i am finally home.
