To my future wife.

I wish I knew you long ago

Before my heart skipped to and fro

Before I sought after a girl

Before I loved all of the world

I wish I saw your smile and knew

Exactly what I was to do

Exactly when I'm supposed to be

Exactly loving only thee

Maybe I have known you and seen your smile

Maybe you've been here all the while

And yet I fear in my heart

That I'll never know you, or who you are

I can only dream of you now

Beautiful bride and veiled brow

Into your eyes, I'll look so long

Marriages melody, heaven's song

And we will be one at last

Singleness will take its earthly fast

And you and I, we will be

Together, Lord willing, a family

There is a veil

For I cannot see

What the Lord has in store for me

And He won't fail

For He is great

The great designer of our fate

So please, my wife

In purity

Be the woman

God wants you to be

And please seek not after your life

Give it to Him, a sacrifice

Dwell on Him who paid the price

I ask these things

My future wife.
