My First Love and You

You didn't have me in stiches at hello,

but you had me in stiches not too long ago.

This is a love story fraught with grief,

Cause I'm caught up bewteen you two,

my first love and you.

The competition is fierce on the inside,

a battle raging ever morning and night.

Cause I'm caught up between you two,

my first love and you.

When I'm with you it feels so right,

but when I'm away from him it feels like

I'm lost in the dark and all I want to do is cry!

He is the one in which my soul delights.

I wish he won the battle every time.

Is there a knife inside my heart?

I must have been divided fom the start.

I'm fickle and fragile just like easy prey,

but when I'm with you there isn't much you have to say.

I know that your arms are open all the way for me;

wrap them around me.

The physical comfort cannot compare to the grace that rescued me from despair.

How am I ever able to forget,

the greatest love my heart has ever met?

Cause I'm caught up between you two,

my first love and you.

When I'm with you it feels so right,

but when I'm away from him it feels like

I'm lost in the dark and all I want to do is cry!

He is the one in which my soul delights.

I wish he won the battle every time.

Is there a knife inside my heart?

I must have been divided fom the start.
