To My Desire: A Love Letter Part 4

To my desire,

My heart is ripping at the seams,

ready to explode

with all this unrequited love that I feel for you.

You abuse my emotions,

like a child with a shiny new toy.

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder,

but they never said that it meant

weeping silent tears

and yearning for your touch against my cold skin.

You say that you're better off alone,

so why must you string me along by my last thread

as if you even care?

I wish you could slip inside my soul

so you could feel my heart's bruises

and realize that every single one of them

was caused by you.
