What would I change in this world?

So many thoughts come and go for such a young girl!

World peace or no more inner city violence?

suddenly my thoughts began to go silent.

I talk with teens my age and its always the same thing,

they never look at the big picture. It's always "me, me, me"

It hit me like a train!

I would make people realize that there is so much more to life.

That's what I would change!

To positively contribute to society, one has to come to grips 

with the fact that the world turned before you were born

and it will go on after you're gone.

so become more aware of the world around you and all the current events.

because before you know it, the world will move ahead

yet, you're only worried about you instead.
