My Call to Action

I call it as I see it.

I always speak my mind.

What’s the point of mindless chatter

when there are so many things to do,

to fix,

to change?

I don’t understand your desire for

self-appeasement,

your endless need of materialistic

promises.

Your self-centered wishes remain

meaningless

within a world where tragedies slither like

serpents of Satan.

You laugh with the sobs of others and

wrap yourself into their skins, which still scream out

in pain.

I call it as I see it.

I always speak my mind.

Even when my opinions stand alone,

unpopular at best,

I cannot be silenced.

I stand tall and challenge

the traditionally accepted values

and beliefs belonging to

society.

It is time for a change,

and I must be a

catalyst,

for we have remained here within

this state

for much too long.
