This is my apology letter.
It’s not that I don’t like the light,
It’s that I prefer the dark.
I don’t mean to shut you out
Or push you away.
I prefer the way the blankets
Feel around my shoulders
Rather than standing in a crowd,
Of people I don’t know.
It’s just that I don’t want to lose myself
In the people
I don’t want to be.
So why bother,
When I’m alone
And happy?
