The Music of the Day

Location

The endless sounds bring joy and tears:

The Willow weeps,

The blue jay sings,

The sea voyage has crossed to land.

The trek beyond at last arrives,

The cries of joy of ones returned,

No sullen mood can bring them down.

When dusk is near and nightfall here,

The music of the world reborn.

A cricket chirps,

A large bear snores,

An owl hunts in depths of dark.

Then having fed these night dwellers,

Sunrise comes to sweep away the dark layers

Of the night.

The pinks and golds of the morn arrive.

The roosters crow

And all awake,

The food is spread,

The work begins,

As another day's music starts,

Once again.
