Millennial

An empty life in a screen.

There's nothing here for you and me.

It's like a phone and a pulse is all they'll ever need.

The walls are falling down.

I feel it all around.

Society is failing and we're all just gonna drown.

Inspiration is fleeting.

My hands are bleeding.

From beating them down onto the ground

until I find a deeper meaning.

This can't be what is left for us.

This isn't how it ends.

I refuse to believe that my life is just meant to make half-friends.

I need to find my proving grounds.

I need to make my mark.

Anyone can change the world with the faintest little spark.

And I know the tide will be hard to fight.

But don't you ever forget who we are.

We're the generation of a new genesis.

Together we'll go far.
