mother culture Does Not Control Me
Location
On the outside, when I am at school or professional:
I smile a lot, and I crack jokes whenever it is appropriate,
I act like I am interested in many things, and I ask questions,
I act weird, and I fully accept that people call me a nerd.
I act like I want to act, not how Mother Culture or society want me to act.
On the inside, when I am with close friends or alone:
I am happy a lot, and I express it whenever it is appropriate,
I like to learn many things, and I research my questions,
I am weird, and I fully accept that I am a "nerd"
I am who I am, not who Mother Culture or my society wants me to be.
