Modern Day Princess

Once upon a time

She glided along the castle floors

Cold hard marble against her warm soft feet

She lived but yet she was not alive

Royalty she was, and served as such

Her wants and desire became her reality

Stuck in the castle, on the path to marriage

She wanted more

Her ultimate dream

seemed so far from her reality

As her father and mother had a plan

Far from her own

Eventually she broke free

Pursued a career in Science

Unmarried and without childrenA modern day princess evolving into a queen
