Mistakes Don't Define You

You never really see the world around you until you're forced too.

Something major happens in your life and it tortures you.

Makes you realize that nothing around you was ever true.

But you never really see the world around you until you're forced too.

Life for me was a daily routine,

Wake up, go to school, the same old thing.

Until one day something changed,

My life had exploded and had been rearranged.

I had let my parents, teachers and coaches down.

I felt my self-confidence start to drown.

As I stared out the window, I wanted something more.

A change, a new life, an open door.

So I strive for a new life,

And I strive for a new knife.

To cut open the confidence and the crazy person in me.

The person that I wanted everyone to see.

You are not defined by your mistakes,

And it is up to you whether or not they make you break.

In the end, you will be stronger.

But you have to hold on just a little while longer.

I want to travel the world and soak it all in,

I want to laugh, I want to love, and I want to just win.

This battle we're all fighting, no one is the same.

But in the end, it is all just a game.

Each day I look at people and try to figure out who they are,

What they want to be, a regular or a star.

They influnce me to be the best me I can be,

Just so when they look at me they'll see just what I want them to see.

One major mistake can change your life direction,

But don't let it change all of your intentions.

Your hopes and your dreams can still be achieved,

Doesn't even matter how you are percieved.

You never really see the world until you're forced too.

Something major happens in your life and it tortures you.

Makes you realize that there is more to you.

Because you never see the world until you're forced too.

So just be you.
