The Mirror You Gaze Through

She’s shy seems submissive although she feels strong

She handles worry as though its her last song

She doesn't understand why she feels all alone

They say she’ll overcome the grief on her own

They worry weather she will ever fell alive

They worry that one day she will give up and not try

She doesn't understand why they feel this way

She wants to be brave oh she wants to be brave

Deep in her soul she knows it’s the only way

They don't understand she fears they never will

Why don’t they get it if not them then who

The world is empty in her eyes alone

She’s learning the way all by her lone self

Still she feels all alone in a crowded room

The people she sees sometimes only see through

Why cant they see her in sadness and all

They have no idea she feels like she could fall

She keeps pushing forward though ready to break

Someday shell discover the side of the gate

Though the gate is locked and there is no way through

The lock is shaking she stares at you

You stare back your pain poking through

you see her sadness and she sees yours

You now know what you never knew before

She is you and you are her

Both eyes locking as you gaze through the mirror

into your own soul your poor broken soul

You learn through that nothing is wrong

and although there are times you feel all alone

The truth of the matter when your by yourself

You are still you and now you love yourself
