Mind over mind.

That relationship no one wants to desert. You make every excuse to stay….remaining blind to the reason why you should leave. You don’t want the relationship to end up like the past ones, going about your day and not talking to that one person…the one person that turns your stress, sadness, and anger into happiness…
You never in a million years want them to move on,
to provide someone else with their love…that love that kept you up at night wondering if it’ll last forever because you wanted so badly for that to be true...
that love that continuously puts butterflies in your stomach with every visit, touch and phone call…
that love that you received so viciously, and with their favoritism…
that love that helped you grow and find yourself and they traveled with you…
that love that in return made you love yourself with such appreciation and gratitude…
that love that you both can’t live without, that turns depression and gray to brighter and better days…
and hoping to never receive that half love that is accompanied by cruelty and pain as you watch them slip out of your arms, bed, and heart and
into someone’s else’s…
That relationship no one wants to desert.
