Merely Care

Location

Do you really know that childhood friend?

            Do you really understand?

Don't just look at appearances

Sometimes they don't say it all

People cry,

           People hide,

                  People fear,

People fall then wear a mask to cover it all

These are the distraught, the broken, the torn

Don't ignore

           don't you dare scorn

These people are sending out a silent plea

So let me share my knowledge with thee

Show no prejudice toward their souls

Because being stereotypical will only take a toll

Being aware

           will be the start

Don't stop there

be the one with a heart
