Memoirs of the Troubled Souls

Anger, Guilt, Regret, Suffering

Anger, Guilt, Regret, Suffering

The maddening  cycle we all go through

That turns your mind

Against you

The thoughts screaming

Inside your head

ANGER GUILT REGRET SUFFERING

I wish I was dead

Make it stop

Make it stop

I can't take this anymore

"It wasn't my fault"

We tell ourselves

Yet we begin to believe that

Less and less

We look for solutions

Something

Anything

We point fingers

But the mirror points them

Back at us

"There is only one way to end this"

And so we do

We purge our crimson red

Still the drum, the rhythm of our lives

End our suffering

To start anew

This poem is the story of my life. I cried after reading this because this the constant battle and the ballad of a crying soul.

"We point fingers but the mirror points them back at us" ... this line was so epic!! It's so true, and I never would have thought of that. Totally creative and inspiring... keep writing!!

This is a clear, concise summary of suicidal thoughts. Well done. We must remember though that suicide is never the answer. Please continue speaking out and reaching out for help.
