Me With You

When you came I thought I was fine
I was hidden inside, surrounded by name and faces
I said hello welcome now, these are those I love
You just smile and came along for the ride that I made

I was scared all alone in my own heart
I didn’t know how cold I was until I felt your warmth
You broke me down I don’t know how
All the lies I usually tell, my safeguards fell
You hadn’t heard one, You made me trust in you

I wonder why I did not see for so many weeks
You saved me, I never knew I needed you
I sat us down to talk so proud when I realized Who you were to me
I asked you then did I tell you when?
You said no, and no, and no, and no again

I was scared all alone in my own heart
I didn’t know how cold I was until I felt your warmth
You broke me down I don’t know how
All the lies I usually tell, my safeguards fell
You hadn’t heard one, You made me trust in you

Before I knew I was with you
My best friend, my light, my saving grace
You make me smile when I want to cry
You keep me honest never had me lie to you
My best friend, my Imotou, I love you
