Marbles

Mother has these multicoloed marbles

Everyday she would roll them

in her fragile and spotted hands.

Rolling the marbles was an everyday activity.

It gave her a sense of calmness;

she would smile

a lot

more than the average person

and she would giggle.

But now mother

is mad.

She can't roll the marbles

around in her hand anymore

Mother lost her marbles

and now I am alone
