The man who taught me everything

The man who showed me hope
I just wanted to let you know you showed me hope when people don't.
You showed me I wasn't alone.
You told me to be me, man you don't know how freeing that feeling can be.
Even when I was questioning my own beliefs.
you thought me how to breathe when I was desperately suficating from depressive thoughts of who I should and shouldn't be.
You help me create me.
Told me it's okay to be who I want to be, no matter my sexuality.
That my homophobic parents couldn't take who I love away from me.
You showed me that you would always answer the phone if I was feeling to alone, with suicide in my tone.
You taught me that being alive is something worth the fight
That I'd get over all the obstacles in sight.
I could do anything with you by my side.
Ha, you only had one eye, you lost it from a guy when you where still knee high.
You still seemed to always see the best in me, and always encouraging me to be Every thing i could dream.
You're the reason I'll get my PhD!
Thanks to you i know who I want to be.
Mina Shalaby you set me free, hopefully one day we'll be side by side with doctor degrees. You'll always be my true family.
