Makebelieve

Tue, 05/07/2013 - 13:32 -- lsmiley

Let’s pretend for a moment,
Let’s say I like you, and you like me
We fall in love, A life of simplicity

I would give you a life
You wouldn’t regret.
If not a life, a piece of time.
Until you choose her love, over mine

I would find a way
to buy that five bill house
And ask for nothing in return

I would love you with all my heart,
trust you with all my soul
I would hold on loosely,
But not let go

I would stand beside you,
not in front of, or behind you
with arms wide open,
heart unlocked, and walls to the ground

Don’t worry now,
It’s just make believe
Because you could never
Love a girl like me
