Make Me Invisible

The pain and torment,

The agony, the fear.

Just make me invisible,

I don't want to be here.

In this vulnerable position,

Cowering on the ground,

Beneath the swinging fists,

Where my cries make no sound.

Who granted your dominion,

How can you claim control

With such harsh brutality

That you can crush a good soul?

But who is the true victim?

Who is lowlier than thee?

For terrorizing the weak,

Comes from insecurity.

Yes, that is your secret,

No, you cannot hide.

Your past is your ghost,

And its spirit never died.

Unleash your demons,

Wage war upon your fears.

Stop being the cause

Of relentlessly flowing tears.

Malevolence and cruelty,

Stem from what's inside.

So delve deep within, uncover the sins,

And discover where goodness abides.

I beg, I plead.

The light dawns in your eyes.

I see a shattered spirit,

beneath the bully's guise.
