Magnifying Glass

Who I am, you can not see

You can not see the girl within

To you, my smile reflects my joy

My solemn look reflects my pain

But you could not be more wrong.

For I am forced to wear a mask

You can not handle me in depth

You could never share my feelings of joy

Or wallow in my misery

My smile is out of place

My anger is hidden behind a serious face.

I wish that you could see beyond the mask

But the truth is, you'd need a magnifying glass

Just to see who I really am
