Magnets

Holding silvers and golds into place on your neck,

Keeping notes and to-do lists on a refrigerator in check.

Positive and negative, north and south,
but swallowing could be a hazard to your mouth.

Don’t let this get too hot, for the purpose will be obsolete,
It’ll become brittle and fractured and incomplete.

It is made of rare metals from the earth’s underground,
With magnitudes of power yet it makes no sound.
