Lying Mirrors

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who are they that flaunt these halls?
Hypnotizing eyes, and power hungry souls…
…no one knows the pain and loneliness their hearts never told.
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who are they that haunt these halls?
The scarlet letter plastered across their face…
…no one cared enough to show love around their space.
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who am I to make the judgment call?
Since Sinners transformed to Saints
They’ll forever share the same dueling place
Within the heart that was Pierced for our Sake.
Like the boy who robbed the flowers and the girl who gave up her power,
They are no more lost than you or I with each passing hour.
From the bullies that taunt the lame
To the whores that cry in shame
Love’s blood spilled freely for people such as these.
So mirror, oh mirror on the wall
You, who lied to me for so long,
You, who make me feel like I don’t belong,
Must break and shatter for telling us such truths that have been proven wrong.
So in your place the Truth will hang on my wall
Of the Man who died for us all.
