A love like mine

The teacher drones

"Did you know,

Purple and yellow are complimentary colors.

(my favorite actually)

A pug meal is used to process clay.

(and the blades are not so safe)

Pinch pots are basic building blocks.

(yeah so is the clay)

Your face is Five eyes wide.

(color bones are nice...

can I compliment someone on their bones?)"

My thoughts often wander

as I sit in class and ponder.

Where will my life go?

One moment I am engrossed

the next, I am thinking about what matters the most.

My Art, My degree, My library.

My nails have been so clean

not like I've ever seen.

They miss the grit and grain.

(Summer can be such a drag)

Calluses, scars, dirt, 'I didn't even use marker today?'

These are everyday topics

when you have a love like mine.
