Lost at Sea

I'm drowning

Lost in the tides

Highs and lows

Will I survive?

Save me

Pull me to shore

Waves crash

Neverending

Let me find a break

Gasping for breath

Treading rough water

Undertow

White capped waves

Pulling

Pushing

Fighting

Clawing

Never going anywhere

Slipping away

Farther from shore

Lost to my struggles

Just another day

Lost on the waves

Depression is a sea

Constantly clutching at me

Never letting go

Low points are strong waves

Constantly pulling me down

Never letting go

I can fight

Medicate

Distraction after distraction

But always

I get pulled under

Will I ever win?

Make it back to shore?

Uncertain

Strength wavering

Giving up

The waves pull me under

I no longer fight

No desire to see the light

Release me

Cruel world

Under I go

No more light

And no longer

Do I fight
