Lost Memories

The ghost of the past swept through the air whistling like the wind

Screams fallowed, women, men, children,

Tears filled the eyes of the depressed.

What is it that ails us so?

Night sky filled with clouds

Tearing across space, nowhere to go

Lost, forever wandering with no purpose.

Why do we scream so?

Trees knocked against one another

Scratching and howling into night’s cold breeze.

Cracking with the mind of the spirit

Why?  Why do we harm ourselves so?

Lost in the past,

Lost in the present,

Lost in the future,

Lost

Lost

No place, no purpose,

No Space.

Enraptured attention on what is.

Forgetting what has been

Where am I?  Where are we?

Why are we lost?

Open up our mind

Let the past flow through like an ocean wave

Crash over us, release us from our suffering.

Why do you not break?

Black veil, tear and release what you hide

Let us remember

What our purpose was, what we are, what has been

Bring back the lost memories of torments past.
