Live inspired

My fire comes
from mother's joy
who waddles and stands
on bending knee, breaking back
for the joy of me.
I am inspired.  My fire sparks
from your heart and mine
when hands sway in winter nights
and bodies touch for warmth.
When love lingers beyond the veins
I am inspired.  My fire grows
when raindrops settle on windowsills
when old man rounds sleepless street lights
chasing forty year voices
when God's light breaks a new day.  My fire lives
as oxygen-erates more
         and air makes
         and life breaks
         and you smile
         and child runs
and I live inspired.
