Listen up America

Racism is the situation of our nation

Always seems to be a part of the conversation

Except nobody’s debating

Why all we seem to do is hating

When we should be celebrating

And loving all of our ethnic relations

Instead of positive feedback, we just sanction

Living life together would definitely be better

But why is it when we hear the word “nigger”

We think of a certain figure, instead of looking at the bigger picture

Treat every man equal, wasn’t that in the scripture

I’m not here to lecture,

I just know America can do better

The home of the brave, land of the free

But that dream is not looking real to me

Because if racism is so accepted

Ignorance won’t be tested

And now this stupidity will be manifested

America has a problem, I won’t accept it

Hope we can fix this before we regret it
