Limitless

“She’s Undecided”
They tell me I’ll find something eventually but what they don’t understand is that I’ve found too much
I’m not undecided but limitless
without a reason to turn down opportunity I’m living in the rivers of my mind
They’re running upstream every curve turning corners that I can’t explain
but need not justify in etched windows frosted over by
indecision
This box is not a check on a paper
I will not order off the menu if I am what I eat
I will swallow the universe!
So the world will be inside me, the knowledge of the ages
Sparking the corners of my imagination
I am limitless!
I’ll major in discovery
‘Cause I refuse to live in a future boxed and handed to me with a bow
No present is presented unless I carve it
From the wood I’ve grown myself, rooted
In my own history
How’d I’d love to go back to the day I was born
When it wasn’t a crime to ask of the world of it’s everything
When no knowledge is too mundane to learn because when you know nothing you want everything
And aren’t humans just a fetus in a world too Almighty to be comprehended by someone other
Than the Creator?
We simply work with tiny pictures
In a puzzle too complex for us to see the corners unless we climb
But we work away, creating our own reality and thriving in the fact that we will never know anything for certain
We are limitless
Unless you decide
To check a box.
But you can’t box opportunity - find what interests me? I’m interested in climbing
Until the tree limbs scrape the sky and I look down at the world
and know how small it is, almost fitting in the palm of my hand
In that vastness I am nothing.
I am limitless.
