Life before I know it

Location

What would you of seen if you saw my picture...

You'd gush and say she was beautiful,

but only after death hit's me.

You don't know my story,

the years I stuggled with a blade,

the tears I shed from unearthed friends,

my wants..

desires...

I'm just a face to fall out of your mind,

a way to calm your guilts as you speak of our friendship,

the way that we'd laughed when I'd never heard your name.

So where were you when I was falling off my feet,

when I needed someone to hold on to...

but I guess I should thank you..

you're one of the reasons I ended up stronger,

in these chains that always held me down.

You're one of the reasons I broke up,

tried to help...made something of myself.

Now I'll never just be that picture...

and they'll never just be your tears.
