Life foreshadowing

Wed, 02/05/2014 - 14:33 -- emilyw

Sitting in my cap and gown

barely able to sit still

due to the excitement

of knowing somthing big

is about take place.

Eagerly waiting for

the next chapter of my life

to unravel as effortlessly and unexpectedly as a novel

that you just can't seem to put down.

So many expectations

met and soon to be met;

all leading up to the success

of achieving my dreams.

The same dreams I had dreamt

since the day I sat, wiggling,

through the acknowedgement

of academic achievements.

Yet, still so much to be accomplished,

both planned and unexpected.

Little did I know (then)

that my kindergaden graduaton

was an exact replica

of the graduation that would take place 12 years later.

So here i am, today,

sitting in my cap and gown

barely able to sit still

due to the excitement

of knowing something big

is about to take place.

Eagerly waiting for

the next chapter of my life

to unravel as effortlessly and unexpectedly as a novel

that you just can't seem to put down.
