Life, come spin the wheel

Life

Your turn to spin the wheel

Two steps forward and one step back

Gained it all and lost it in two seconds flat

That is the game we all choose to play

Step right up and try your luck

Roll the dice

Land on the red space, or the green, maybe the blue

What does it all mean?

This game consumes us

It stalks the mind, body, and soul

The one thing that we cannot escape

Free to soar to the sky yet bound by an unbreakable chain

It’s not easy being alive, but the alternative is only to die

Choose to pick up the dice

And give it another try

Get up, get out, and get going

Sitting there throwing your life away

Never knowing that the chain is infinite and will only bring you home when the final call is heard

Seizing the day and never allowing doubt and fear to stand in your way

Always knowing that though times are hard, it will get better

A game we all play to win but in the end we all lose

Being alive is only half the battle; we must endure to survive though these troubling times

And fight to reach as far into the sky as possible

Come play the game with me

Your turn to spin the wheel

Spin like you’ve done a hundred times before

Two steps forward and one step back

Gained it all and lost it in two seconds flat
