(Liar)

And so she begins to lie.

 

It wasn't intentional, at least

(Not at first)

She wasn't trying to be like the rest of them.

She liked herself, at least

(That's what she told them)

And it was in this way that she fit in.

Clones upon clones,

Faces in a sea of faces,

(And anything different was a mistake).

 

That's when the cuts started.

That's when the paranoia began.

That's when the childhood came to a screeching halt.

 

(And so she begins to lie.)
