I search above me for what I could see
Clear as day only two years ago
An entire star disappeared before my eyes
But still the light overtakes my subconscious
Unknown to me as behavior's influenced
Until a smile appears and tears begin to roll

What have I done, where have i gone?
This picture's empty to me
Who was I then when I was yours?
There must be more you can see

Beyond the lines of this one-sided memory
Head my words
Locked away to this day mistaken empathy
Steal my cure
You'll find it, far too soon
Where it's always been, care doesn't tire
In the wake of the forlorn fire

Your presence rose up within me, and forced me to question
What is at risk when one is not told of a lasting favor
Fueled by the warmth, embers of the gracious man-eater
I make my presence in you know
As I bust through your threshold of defense
Exposure my expense
And cast off this false pretense
Exposure my expense
A mindset you wont process
Exposure my expense
Through your threshold of defense
Exposure my expense

I've found purgatory, in this impressionable state
I've found purgatory, I've failed gravity
There is nothing above
Nothing below
I take the road tangent to this life
And reach for a limit that can't be touched
The embers warned there would always be hope
I've found purgatory
