Lesson Left to Learn

Man's Greatest Lesson
Yet to learn
Can be found
In the rose's thorn;

Which teaches us
Quite simply
"Just look,
And leave me be.

You need not own the moon
And pluck it from the sky.
It shares it's beauty
With all who see
And if you let me,
So should I.

Yet wrest me from my chosen home
And what a price you'll pay!
Not only will I draw your blood,
But my beauty fades away
And you'd be less
Not once, but twice.
So enjoy!
Then go away."
