Lazy Struggle

I try my hardest,

I really do.

But in the end,

It’s crap.

All crap.

I know that I’m lazy,

So I guess I’m not really trying my hardest,

But it seems as if I am.

I take the time out to study,

The time to complete homework.

And I finish it to the fullest,

But my efforts are wasted,

I just get a bad grade,

After a worst grade,

After many more horrible grades.

It seems as though they are failing me on purpose.

I guess I should have tried harder.

I wish I had only studied more.

Studied many days in advance,

Instead of my usual procrastination.

If only I had listened,

If only I heard what they were telling me.

What the teachers were saying,

What my mother was uttering.

If only I had listened to them,

And I wouldn’t be in this mess.

I wouldn’t be in this horrible mess.
