Lays

I've had a hard day at school

I think to myself, "you know what would be cool?"

No need to reply, my stomach already knows

Its that time...to the fridge I go.

I search, pushing and shoving anything green out of the way,

Carrots, Broccoli, Spinach...nahhh...not today.

What I'm looking for, I still don't know,

On to the pantry I go.

When I open the door I can help but smile,

I stand in its presence and let my eyes roam for a while.

After what feels like hours of searching my eyes begin to cry.

Not because of sadness, I just haven’t blinked in a while.

I feast my eyes on what has to be

The most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

In a big yellow bag it is contained

It's name... Lays.
