Laughter

It comes out of nowhere

Bright smiles

Teasing grins

Fond pats on the head

Muttered words

And it rings out

Sweet and gaily

Bells on the wind

Jokes prance around

Eyes lit up

Heart light as a feather

A joyful sound

Funny little vibrations

A strange being

Called humor

Makes its way

Among the group

Gliding throughout

Smooth as can be

A breeze whips past

Snatching chuckles

Deep belly laughs

Rain washes away

Tears that came

A bench supports

The aching stomach

Cheeks all aglow

Of regret not a hint

Warmth enveloping

Squeezing all in

Like a shining bubble

Of love

And maybe

Compassion

An invisible bond

Tying together

Beings of fun

And innocent pleasure.
